Mary Jo Fay, RN, MSNOut of the Boxx, Inc.
Mary Jo Fay is a speaker, columnist, screenwriter, award-winning author, and consultant specializing in relationships – including the oftentimes confusing one we have with ourselves.
A registered nurse with a Master’s Degree in her field, she spent many years helping people with their physical health, yet after writing four self-help, relationship books in four years she shifted her emphasis to helping folks with their relationship and sexual health. Her book titles include:
Defining herself as “The Voice of Dating, Mating, and Relating”-- her expertise is based upon a rare combination of knowledge from many of her own life experiences, combined with insights gleaned through interviews with hundreds of real people who shared their real life relationship ups, downs, fears, and questions with her.
She is also the founder of Denver’s BEST Dating, Mating, and Relating MeetUp Group, where singles come to share their issues, needs, frustrations, and questions as well as their dating successes and failures.
Her life journey has also included raising a daughter, surviving divorce, and overcoming a history of childhood sexual abuse, all of which took her to rock bottom when she knew she’d have to make some serious changes if she wanted a life filled with happiness, passion, and love.
Having survived that journey herself, she now teaches others the path she discovered the hard way, hoping to help them find the answers more gently than she did!
Although she works with a variety of relationships issues, she is perhaps best known for her specialty in helping those who have been involved in difficult relationships become survivors.
In addition, she discovered a rather unrecognized need: helping people discover more satisfaction in the bedroom by better understanding their own bodies through education that they never got back in the 7th grade locker room! She’s a firm believer that most bedroom issues are a result of bad communication and mis-information between the sexes, since sex is rarely talked about openly and honestly in our rather Victorian society. Sure – there’s the Internet and readily available porn, but that’s certainly not how Mary Jo sees people learning in a safe and professional environment. People have real questions and she’s got real answers.
She consults with clients from around the globe sharing her many insights through her books, workshops, and personal consultations and has appeared on numerous radio shows throughout the US and beyond, as well as TV’s Fox 31 News and Denver Cable Television.
She is often quoted in newspapers and web sites throughout the US and internationally and a Google search of her name reveals a huge variety of relationship topics that she shares to help others globally, many translated into languages she doesn’t even recognize!
Spreading her message of love, hope, and healing to a wider audience, she is now also writing screenplays for the big and small screen. She can generally be found in Denver, Colorado or Cozumel, Mexico, living “Outside the Boxx!”
